The Pre-school

The pre-school is set in the grounds of Easton Garford School. It has one main play room that is split up into areas. As well as a fab veranda, and garden.

The quiet area which includes the cosy story tent. A selection of our many books which children are free to look at, at any time of the day. A comfortable sofa for the children (and parents).

We have computers, with a specialist keyboard, mouse and learning games. Again children are free to use this when ever they wish.

The main play room includes an arty area, writing/cutting area, a home corner and a den whose identity changes almost weekly. (it's been a post office, giants castle, shop, garden centre, pirate boat and much more).

The emphasis throughout the pre-school is on enabling children to learn through play, rather than telling them what they "should" be doing. There is always an adult led activity available, but equally all of the "play" equipment is accessible for the children to let their imaginations take them. This helps to give confidence as the children learn at their own pace, and find out what they are good at.
